Win ‘Paddle’ with Repudo app

Thirty copies of Paddle; A long way around Ireland are up for grabs via a competition that uses new app Repudo.

Repudo (www.repudo.com) is a free app which allows people to drop and pick up unique items of digital information at specific geographical points. You can drop a document, photo, voucher or any other form of digital information from anywhere in the world placing it in a specific spot on the globe using the Google-powered map on the Repudo website. Once dropped the item can only be picked up by somebody with the app loaded on their phone who has physically reached that spot. (Repudo is currently available for i-Phone and Android, with Blackberry and other platforms coming soon.)

In the case of Paddle, author Jasper Winn has dropped off 30 vouchers for a free signed copy of the book, right around the Irish coastline following his route.

Paddle; A long way around Ireland tells the story of Winn’s circumnavigation of Ireland back in 2007. A near novice paddler, he dealt with intense rain and weeks of high winds. The book is a gripping account of that trip which was by turns frightening, comic and uplifting

Winn will also promote his book using more conventional means. He will also lead ‘paddle-talks’ about the book at festivals around Ireland and the UK over this summer. Further details can be found on his blog www.jasperwinn.com/blog/
