If you’re just dipping your toe into adventure racing, Outdoors Ireland is offering an intensive weekend’s training covering both rope work skills and navigation. These weekends will be based in the Gap of Dunloe, Killarney, and are designed for all abilities from complete beginner upwards.
The aim is for participants to finish their training confident in the knowledge that they can safely use climbing equipment, abseil and rock climb. You will also be able to use a map and compass to navigate across the Irish mountains, plus look at what safety equipment you should be carrying and what to do in the event of an injury.
The course (€120 per person) take place on 13-14 March & 8-9 May. The price includes two-day’s intensive training, all equipment, experienced instructors and transfers from Killarney each day.
