The first ever Half-Marathon and 10km road race in County Leitrim will take place in Manorhamilton on 11 September 2010. The run will be a major annual event for serious athletes as well as casual runners and walkers.
The main purpose of the run is to raise funds for the North West Hospice. The Hospice provides an invaluable service for people who face life-threatening illnesses well as vital support for their families. Much of their resources are dependent on voluntary fundraising.
Both the Half-Marathon and 10km are AAI approved and each and every participant will receive a specially designed T-Shirt and medal.
The Half Marathon will start at 12 noon followed by the 10km at 12:15pm. There will be registration on the day but people are advised to register in advance to guarantee their T-shirt size. So log on to www.northleitrimglensrun.com to register.
